If you find yourself in the Clearwater, Florida area on March 14,2010, there will be a great event to take the family to at Bright House Field.  A group of former Major League Baseball players will be gathering for an Alumni Legends Game again this spring.

Doug Flutie	Last Spring a couple dozen former stars of the game came together at Bright House Field with the Military All Stars Team, which was led by former Red Sox first baseman Brian Daubach. While the majority of the roster was made up of military personnel, New England Patriots Legend Doug Flutie played the field as the team’s second baseman. Joining the military team was Dan Duquette, former Boston Red Sox, GM and the U.S. Military All-Stars' director of player development. Gaylord Perry	The Major League Players Legends team was loaded with former All Star players, led by Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry. Perennial All Star pitchers Jim Kaat & Tommy John joined Perry on the mound, and each pitched part of the game. Former All Star relief pitcher Darold Knowles joined former Red Sox reliever Dick Drago, as each took the mound for an inning. Yankee legend Ryne Duren was also on hand. This years event should be just as entertaining as many more former major leaguers have already accepted invitations to attend this years Legends Game. Perry is slated to return, and joining him this year will be his brother, former Twins starter Jim Perry and former Cleveland Indian ace Sam McDowell. Playing the field for the Legends team will be a pair of recently retired MLB All-Stars, Jeff Cirillo and Jeff Kent.

The event will kick off at 1PM with a Youth Baseball Clinic, followed by the always-popular Homerun Derby at 5:15, with the game slated to get underway at 6PM.

Ticket prices range from $5 to $25, so it is an affordable evening for any baseball fan. The proceeds from the event will go to the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and the Major League Players Association.

The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation helps to build character and teach critical life lessons to disadvantaged young people through baseball and softball themed programs. The Major League Baseball Players Association was formed to promote the game of baseball, raise money for charity, inspire and educate youth through positive sport images and protect the dignity of the game through former players.
